The Senior Center at Key Peninsula Community Services is a welcoming gathering place where older adults come together for connection, nourishment, and support. More than just a place for meals or activities, the center serves as a hub of community life for seniors across the Key Peninsula, offering opportunities to build friendships, stay active, and remain engaged in the community they call home.
Each week, the center provides nutritious congregate meals that bring people together around the table, creating space for conversation and companionship. A variety of programs—including exercise classes such as SAIL and Tai Chi, games, educational workshops, and social events—help seniors maintain their physical health, mental well-being, and independence.
The Senior Center also connects older adults to vital services and resources. Staff and volunteers help link participants to programs such as food assistance, Medicare and legal support, transportation resources, and other community services offered through Key Peninsula Community Services.
For many participants, the center is more than a program—it is a place where neighbors look out for one another, friendships grow, and older adults continue to play an active and valued role in the community. By fostering connection, dignity, and support, the Senior Center helps ensure that aging on the Key Peninsula can be both healthy and fulfilling.
