Hello KPCS Neighbors,
September is here, bringing a change of season and new opportunities to connect, spend time together, and enjoy our community.
This month, we’re especially excited to begin KPCS Community Nights on September 8. On Tuesday and Thursday evenings, we’ll keep our doors open a little longer and offer a welcoming place to connect. Come play a game, listen to music, have a snack, visit with friends, or simply come spend some time with us. All generations are welcome, so bring a friend, neighbor, grandchild, or just bring yourself.
Our September newsletter has plenty of ways to ease into fall. You’ll find LifeTalks, Veterans & Friends Coffee, our book club, outings, activities, meals, and some wonderful memories from our summer together. Take a look and see what sounds good to you. And speaking of connection, KP News recently visited KPCS and shared a wonderful story about our community, “Connecting People, Building Community at KPCS.” One of my favorite parts came from KPCS participant and board member Jackie Furrey: “I think we are all like iron filings and Robyn is the magnet that brings us together.”
That quote made me smile, but what I love most about the article is how well it captures what makes KPCS special. It’s the people. Our participants, volunteers, staff, board members, community partners, donors, and neighbors all bring something to this place. Together, we create a community where people can find food, resources, friendship, laughter, support, and simply a place to connect.

So, grab a cup of coffee, take a look through our September newsletter, and find something that feels right for you. Come for lunch, join an activity, visit with an old friend, make a new one, or just stop by and say hello.
There’s a place for you here.
Have a wonderful September,
Robyn |
